How To Measure Your Covers

Here is a simple guide in how to measure your cushions and ensure a perfect fit

1. Take your current cushion filling out of the cover and lay the cover on a flat surface.

2. Measure the cushion cover from seam–seam or between the piping for a box cushion. Always pull the cover slightly to ensure a perfect fit use inches or centimetres our online calculator accepts both options.

3. Take the dimension from the front of the cushion to the back measure both ends and across the centre as covers can vary normally the centre measurement is the most accurate.

4. Measure the height (border) of the cushion *Tip if your cushions are currently feather or fibre filled add 1″ (2.5cm) to this dimension do not add anything if your old fillings are foam

5. Take the dimension across the front of the cushion and across the back, cushions are normally rectangular or square, but they can taper with the front normally wider than the back. Tip when calculating a price, a sofa cushion will normally be a “one sided taper” whilst a chair cushion will be an “equal taper cushion”

6. Do not add anything to the measurements you have taken but add wadding and stockinette to your online quote this will give your cushion cover a perfectly fitting cushion filling. *Tip if your cushions are currently feather or fibre filled add 1″ (2.5cm) to the height of the cushion do not add anything if your old fillings are foam
