Pyrosord-S Class ‘0’ (also known as Fireseal) is manufactured by impregnating standard foam with liquid minerals resulting in a fire-resistant acoustic foam which is able to withstand various ignition sources. Class ‘0’ is an accredited cellular acoustic foam which may be used in many applications. With its flexibility and non-irritant characteristics, it is a safe and easy to install product.

Its durability has been proved on many prestigious projects throughout the world. Class ‘0’ can be cut and shaped easily and safely. It will readily accept facings, acoustic barrier layers and self adhesive backing for ease of fixing. We recommend Class ‘0’ for multiple sound proofing/noise absorption applications including: Air-conditioning equipment and duct systems / Acoustic wall panelling and enclosures / Generator rooms Engine bay compartments / Automotive and Marine applications / Prison mattresses / M.O.D vehicles.

Do not confuse this product with standard fire retardant foam Class ‘0’ is fire resistant not fire retardant, with the difference being Fire retardant foam will burn until the ignition source is removed, whereas Class ‘0’ will not burn

High Density Open Cell Class ‘O’ foam has exceptional acoustic properties and is an excellent sound absorption material, it is a safer alternative to conventionally used products, it is easy and safe to handle, it does not erode or migrate in air movement and is non-fibrous eliminating the potential health hazards associated with fibrous products.

Independent acoustic tests confirm noise reduction performance is greater when the thickness of the product is increased.
